Testicles contain your sperm and protect the delicate cells from the outside environment. Damage to your testicles can have a serious impact on your fertility by affecting the quality and quantity of sperm. Overheating sperm can seriously impact their quality.

Keeping your testicles cool is important to maintain an optimum temperature of your sperm. Simple ways that you can help to do this include not sitting down for long periods of time and not wearing too tight underwear.

Other causes of testicular damage are trauma, such as from sport, infection, testicular surgery, a congenital defect and undescended testicles.

Causes of Stomach Pain and How to Stop them


1. Peptic Ulcer Disease 


Epigastric pain is the most common symptom of ulcers in the lining of the lower esophagus, the stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. An ulcer in the stomach is known as gastric ulcer whereas an ulcer of the first section of the small intestine is called a duodenal ulcer. Together these disorders are known as peptic ulcer disease (PUD).

The epigastric pain of PUD is characterized by a gnawing or burning sensation and occurs after meals, classically, shortly after meals with gastric ulcer and 2-3 hours afterward with duodenal ulcer

Antacids can provide rapid pain relief by neutralizing existing stomach acid. However, they are not considered useful enough to promote healing.


2. Gallstones

Abdominal pain caused by gallstones is called biliary colic.

Bile is a liquid that helps to digest fats. It is produced by the liver and stored in the gallbladder. When we eat, bile passes from the gallbladder through the bile ducts into the small intestine, where it mixes with partially digested food.

Biliary colic is a steady or intermittent ache usually located in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen. Sometimes the pain spreads backward to the right shoulder blade.

Biliary colic is usually caused by gallstones blocking the normal flow of bile from the gallbladder.  A tumor can also block bile flow and cause biliary colic. The worst pain of biliary colic usually lasts for 30 minutes to an hour but may continue at a lower intensity for several more hours. The pain stops when the gallstone breaks free of the bile duct and passes into the intestine.

 

 

3. Intestinal Obstruction

Intestinal obstruction is a blockage that keeps food or liquid from passing through the small or large intestine.

There may be several underlying causes including fibrous bands of tissue (adhesions) in the abdomen that form after surgery, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), diverticulitis, twisting of the colon (volvulus), impacted feces, hernias, and cancer.

The symptoms include crampy abdominal pain that comes and goes in waves, loss of appetite, swelling of the abdomen, vomiting, and inability to have a bowel movement or pass gas.

Treatment of intestinal obstruction depends on the underlying cause.


4. Acute Cholecystitis

Acute cholecystitis is an inflammation of the gallbladder. In most cases, gallstones blocking the transport of bile from the gallbladder are the underlying cause of cholecystitis.

Usually, patients with acute cholecystitis experience steady, severe upper right quadrant or epigastric pain. Nausea and vomiting are sometimes present.

Usually, there is associated fever and elevated leucocyte (white blood cells) count in the blood suggesting inflammation.

Palpation of the abdomen usually reveals tenderness in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen. Murphy’s sign is typically present.

Hospitalization is usually necessary. Treatment is based on fasting, pain medication, antibiotics if an infection is present, and cholecystectomy.


5. Acute Cholangitis

Acute cholangitis occurs when gallstones become impacted in the biliary ducts resulting in blockage of bile flow and dilatation of the ducts leading to a bacterial superinfection.
Acute cholangitis is characterized by fever, jaundice, and abdominal pain, known as Charcot’s triad.

Jaundice is a term used to describe yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes. It is caused by the build-up of a substance called bilirubin in the blood and tissues of the body.
Bilirubin is excreted in the bile.

Blockage of bile flow in cholangitis cause accumulation of bilirubin in the body, leading to jaundice.
Cholangitis is a serious medical condition.

Treatment includes fasting, and intravenous fluids need to be administered. The infection is treated with broad-spectrum antibiotics.

Get sufficient sleep

Sleep is an essential part of keeping your heart healthy. If you don’t sleep enough, you may be at a higher risk for cardiovascular disease no matter your age or other health habits.

One study looking at 3,000 adults over the age of 45 found that those who slept fewer than six hours per night were about twice as likely to have a stroke or heart attack as people who slept six to eight hours per night.

Researchers believe sleeping too little causes disruptions in underlying health conditions and biological processes, including blood pressure and inflammation.

 Make sure you sleep well by going to bed early enough and sleep for at least 6-8 hours daily.

So please drink with caution.

I hate stressing myself over unnecessary things that will affect my health and or bring me discomfort, i know you do too.

Trying to balance the wheels between work, family, and other commitments, you can become too stressed out and busy. But you need to set time aside to unwind or your mental and physical health can suffer.

15 Tips on How to Relieve Back Pain Naturally

Back Pain, Ouch!

I've once experienced it few months back when I was under going a critical training session with my former boss.

Then I will in front of the computer desk for about approximately 12+ hours. Ohh yes same spot!

I wasn't very easy me back then, but i had no choice...

But the thing was that, I wasted about $500 on pain relieve drugs. Instead of me to these tips I'm about to unleash to you now, i was busy swallowing tablets upon tablets.

It was after some weeks i discovered these tricks on how to relieve back pain naturally.

Enhance Flexibility

Too much tension and tightness can cause back pain. "Our goal in increasing flexibility is to put an equal load throughout the body from the feet all the way up to the head,” Davis says. “One good exercise is to sit on the edge of the bed with one leg extended and the other one on the floor.

Give your hamstrings a stretch by leaning forward while keeping your back in a neutral position.”


Sleep Right


The amount of rest you get is important, and so is the position you get it in. “Sleeping in a bad position or on a mattress without support can cause back pain,” Wilmarth says.
Some pointers:
  • Back sleepers should put pillows under their knees.
  • Side sleepers should place pillows between their knees to keep their spine in a neutral position.
  • Stomach sleeping causes the neck and head to twist and can put undue stress on the back.

Use Relaxation Techniques

Research shows that practices such as meditation, deep breathing, tai chi, and yoga, which help put the mind at rest, can do wonders for the back.

If you can induce a relaxation response, it will help reduce the perceived pain level.

Aim for good posture

Sitting at a desk for eight (or more) hours a day can really do a number on your back. Make sure to sit with your back against your chair (get a lumbar pillow if you chair doesn’t allow this) and both feet flat on the floor. 
 
Another option: Try using a stability ball as your desk chair like many Health staffers do—good posture is a must just to stay on the thing. Start off slow (20 minutes at a time), and if it feels good, stick with it.



Stretch your hamstrings twice daily

One often overlooked contributor to lower back pain is tight hamstrings. If your hamstring muscles—located in the back of your thighs—are too tight hamstrings your lower back and sacroiliac joints will be stressed, leading to more pain.

Hamstring stretching should be done carefully and at least twice per day.

Pain specialists have long understood that pain is not absolute; it is more complicated than just a sensation. The way your brain interprets and processes pain signals plays an important role in how you perceive your pain.


Supportive shoes

Some back trouble starts from the ground up. Women whose feet roll inward when they walk (what's known as pronation) might be particularly susceptible to lower back pain, according to a recent study in the journal Rheumatology. Another study finds that correcting the problem with orthotics may help. 


Ice and heat

Break out that bag of frozen peas (or an ice pack, if you want to get fancy) for the first 48 hours after the pain sets in, and put it to use for 20 minutes a session, several sessions per day. 

After those two days are behind you, switch to 20-minute intervals with a heating pad. Localized cooling shuts down capillaries and reduces blood flow to the area, which helps ease the swelling, says Lisa DeStefano, an associate professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. Cold also thwarts your nerves' ability to conduct pain signals. Heat, on the other hand, loosens tight muscles and increases circulation, bringing extra oxygen to the rescue.

There is a common saying that goes thus; Health is Wealth

Ofcourse that's is true! But sometimes there seems to be conditions and circumstances that weigh us down from carry out our day-to-day activities

And that is illness.

When they come there's nothing we can do at that particular time.

Yes! We can treat them

But the best is to prevent them before the even get to us.



Cold is one them

In today's post I'm going to be sharing tips and steps on how to prevent getting a cold.

Here are they.


Eat healthy food with plenty of vitamins

Eating healthy food with plenty of vitamins will keep your immune system going strong. Cold and flu season runs in tandem with candy season — from Halloween to Easter.

So make an effort to fill your plate with vegetables at lunch and dinner, and snack on fruit throughout the day. This helps you to prevent getting a cold.


Wash your hands always

Do so often, especially after using the bathroom or touching inanimate objects, like bathroom faucets and door handles, in public places.

It doesn't really matter if you used your hand to carry out a specific task or not. It is expected of you to always wash your hands whenever you want carry ou any activity that involves eating.

But most people see this as an unnecessary event.

Washing of your hand regularly leads to a healthy life.


You need water a lot


Dehydration can easily occur (especially if you are running a fever or vomiting). If you're unable to keep fluids down, contact your physician.

If you want to stay healthy and avoid all sorts of ailment, you should always drink a lot of water.


Control stress

Studies have shown that people experiencing emotional stress have weakened immune systems and are more likely to catch a cold than their calmer counterparts.


Use disposables 

Disposable cups can be thrown away after each use and prevent accidental spread of the virus from sharing of cups or glasses with someone that is infected with cold.

This is particularly important if you have young children who may try to drink from others' cups.


Please don't smoke


Cigarette smoke can irritate the airways and increase susceptibility to colds and other infections. Even exposure to passive smoke can make you (or your children) more vulnerable to colds.


Relax and rest 

When you feel super stressed or fatigued, your body pumps out the hormone cortisol, which may interfere with your body’s ability to stave off a cold.

So make winding down a priority: take up yoga, try meditation, take a daily stroll through some green space, or prioritize some time after work to make dinner with your family—anything that helps you shake off a long day will help.


Combat stuffiness

Over-the-counter saline nasal drops and sprays can help relieve stuffiness and congestion. In infants, experts recommend putting several saline drops into one nostril, then gently suctioning that nostril with a bulb syringe.

To do this, squeeze the bulb, gently place the syringe tip in the nostril about 1/4 to 1/2 inch (about 6 to 12 millimeters) and slowly release the bulb. Saline nasal sprays may be used in older children.
